IN-STORE RETURN POLICY:
Sales and Returns Terms and Conditions:
A customer may receive a full refund on items returned if ALL of the following conditions are met.
• The purchase was made within the past thirty (30) days.
• The original sales slip or register receipt is presented along with the item.
• The merchandise is in new, unused condition.
• The merchandise is in the original, unopened package.
• The merchandise was NOT a Final Sale/No Return item or Seasonal item.
• Refunds on delivered merchandise will be issued less the cost of delivery and pick up AND a 15% Re-Stocking Fee will apply to the purchase price of the items returned.
All refunds will be in the same form as used for the purchase. Cash refunds cannot exceed $50.00. A check will be mailed in lieu of cash for returns in excess of $50.00.
No Refunds or Returns on any installed items.
Per E.P.A. Regulations,
no returns or exchanges are permitted on any pool or spa chemicals.
“The Great Escape” will not be responsible for securing any items that are picked up by a customer and will not be held liable for any damage to the customer’s vehicle due to improperly securing the item, or for damage resulting from chemical spillage or leakage.
Layaway Terms and Conditions:
A $100.00 REFUNDABLE deposit reserves the Sale Price of stock items for a period of 30 Days. Swimming Pool and Pool Package pricing will be held for up to 90 Days.
A $500.00 REFUNDABLE deposit reserves the price of stock items and hold the product for a period of 180 days and requires at least a two week notice prior to delivery. Any product not delivered within 180 days will be subject to availability and possible price changes.
A 50% NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be required for any Special or Custom Order product. Hot Tub Special Orders require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of 10% of the Total Price of $500.00 (whichever is greater) and is subject to a 15% restocking fee of the entire sale price if cancelled.
There will be no refunds on deposits left more than 180 days. Deposits left more than 180 days will be converted into a store credit in the form of a Credit Memo that can be used for any future purchase.
All labor costs are estimates only. Please refer to a separate INSTALLATION AGREEMENT for terms.
ONLINE RETURN POLICY:

- Returns will not be accepted without Return Authorization . Please call (708) 429-9951 or fill out the customer inquiry form. Make sure to select “website” as the Location and put “returns” in the subject line.
- Refund amount will be for purchase price plus tax (if applicable).
- Sorry, shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Charges for shipping returned products back to us are your responsibility.
- All returns are subject to inspection and approval prior to issuing credit.
- In certain instances a restocking fee of 15% may be applied to returned items.
- Due to the nature of some of the products we sell, certain products are sold with a No Refund, No Return, No Exchange Policy. These products include spas, all chemicals (government regulation), made to order and special order items, custom orders, clearance items, discontinued items, pool liners & winter covers once the box has been opened. However, you are always covered by the Manufacturers warranty against defects.
- No Refunds/Returns on installed items.
Orders cannot be cancelled after item has been shipped. Should you choose to refuse delivery you will be responsible for the shipping fees both to and from the shipping address.
Custom orders cannot be cancelled.
